In Portanuova, the "Domino Effect" to celebrate inclusivity

For those who may not know, besides being the month that marks the beginning of summer, June is also the Pride Month: a month to celebrate inclusivity, the richness of diversity, and to fight against any form of discrimination, without giving up the lightheartedness and positivity that has always characterized the Pride culture. Inclusivity, a fundamental ingredient for a dynamic and responsible community, is one of the native values of the Portanuova neighborhood.

On June 18, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, some of the coolest voices from the Milanese scene performed in Alvar Aalto Square, featuring a lineup that included Yosef, Mydrama, Evra, KAPUT, and Blue Phelix, who delivered a "pop anthem" to freedom.

This "anthem" was named Effetto Domino, like the title of the song that opened and closed the setlist, a song that celebrates the freedom of being yourself in your uniqueness and love. The performance involved and made both adults and children dance in Piazza Alvar Aalto. But the show in Portanuova never ended.

Inaugurated with the concert on the 18th, but visible until June 24 - the date of the Milan Pride Parade, which will see many other initiatives along the city route - Portanuova hosts a themed installation called "Rainbow Strings": an immersive rainbow-colored tunnel with a grid structure made of chromatic cords.

"Rainbow Strings" is an installation that offers visitors an engaging and exciting environment, as well as a truly unique open-air backdrop for taking selfies and becoming protagonists of Pride Month, celebrating its ethics in a fun and sensational way.
