The beginners’ course is designed for those wishing to get started in the world of photography or for those who already have experience but wish to strengthen their fundamentals and expand on their all-round knowledge. Having a camera is not compulsory: a few of our own will be available.

The course will begin with an in-class part (at 8 Piazza Gae Aulenti), followed by the practical part in the square and thus spanning two days:

Saturday 20 May
from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Sunday 21 May
from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

-    How to create an effective composition
-    How to best communicate through images
-    Shifting from Auto mode to Manual mode fully in control
-    Choosing the right lens
-    Handling depth of field (Blurred background, Clear background)
-    ISO - SHUTTER SPEED - APERTURE: the right setup
-    The light meter
-    White balance
-    Choosing what SD card to purchase
-    Creating silk-effect images and light trail photography (long exposure)
-    The panning technique
-    How to create perfect silhouettes
-    Lens filters
-    Detachable and built-in flashes
-    Framing and portraits
-    Post-production
-    Great photographers of the past and present
