Once again, the BAM – a project by the Riccardo Catella Foundation – offers the city of Milan a rich calendar of free events open to all. Over 240 rendezvous dedicated to its 4 founding principles – #openairculture, #nature, #wellness, #education – representing a unique model of cultural access in Italy. They will be set in an unfenced botanical garden open to sharing of spaces and experiences created by the foundation as a tribute and ode to outdoor life, and where culture, art, and science mingle to generate special moments.

The Season Days were designed to celebrate the changing seasons and are fundamental moments of the BAM cultural schedule. The first event – Spring is Coming! – took place last Sunday (20 March): a day to celebrate the rebirth of nature through performances, installations, and creative workshops.

Starting on 23 March, the BAM will launch the #wellness weekly activities, starting with BAM Open-air Yoga, dedicated to regaining physical and mental balance, in harmony with the scents and colours of the park.

Every Thursday, the Library of Trees will host BAM Senior Fitness, a series of functional training sessions dedicated to the over-65 age group, with workouts made to measure for each participant by expert fitness trainers.

What’s new in 2022? Every Friday, starting on 25 March, look out for the BAM Bootcamp, a schedule of dynamic training sessions around the park to brush off the stress.

Once again, don’t miss out on the BAM Walks: a schedule of guided tours taking place every last Sunday of each month to explore the design, architecture, and botanical heritage of the park and discover the bordering neighbourhoods and history of Portanuova.

Every Tuesday, the BAM Vegetable Garden Workshop for KIDS welcomes the little ones at the De Castillia gardens to learn the secrets of farming and the best practices to do so while respecting the rhythm of nature.

For the second year straight, the park will host – from Wednesday 11 May to Saturday 14 MayBAM OPEN AIR DESIGN, an event dedicated to the state-of-the-art of outdoor furniture design, to be experienced on the grass of the park. It is managed by COIMAImage in partnership with the Riccardo Catella Foundation.

Furthermore, in May, after the great success of 2021 with over 1 million views, the organization presents BAM Forum – Talks for the environment: a series of conferences, workshops, and debates concerning smart cities, the planet, oceans, tall mountains, and the human body.

From the marvels of nature to enchanting music events at sunset in the summer: BOOM BAM! Sunset Music in the park will take place every Thursday from 16 June to mid-July, in partnership with Saturnino and friends. The line-up includes Pau (from Negrita), Storytelling DJ set, Andy (from Bluvertigo), D4rky Quartet, and Emanuele Via & Charlie T.

This year’s brand new event is – from Friday 17 June to Sunday 19 June the BAM CIRCUS - Festival of Wonders at the Park: shows, travelling performances and workshops, also featuring international artists, dedicated to the magic of street drama and designed to nurture the relationship between man and nature.

Last but not least, the Back to the City Concert: the great classical music event at the park set to take place on 18 September. It is among the most anticipated BAM events and features the stars of music presented by the Teatro alla Scala Academy.
