LILT's historic non-competitive run and walk returns to donate welcome and care to children with cancer throughout Italy.
The Pigiama Run, now in its 4th edition, becomes even bigger and full of new features to mark LILT's 100th anniversary! Pigiama Run registrations will allow LILT Milano Monza Brianza to support "One of the Family," the fundraiser launched together with Fondazione Mediolanum, which will double the first 20,000 euros of donations collected.
The goal is to guarantee at least 200 children with cancer and their families the "Pediatric Hotline," one of the services guaranteed by LILT within the "Child Care" program.
The project provides for the continuous (H24 and 7 days a week) telephone availability of the medical staff of the Pediatrics Department of the National Cancer Institute of Milan, for the benefit of families with children being treated for cancer diseases. The service has become even more important with the pandemic, because families know they have a safe reference to turn to in case of need, even once they return home.
