PREMIÈRE ETUDE SUR PIAF
Tuesday 8 February, 7 p.m. – Tribute to chanson française.

Edith Piaf is not only an extraordinary voice linked to an age we remember with dreamy eyes. She represents the incredible communication strength of the lyric, filtered by a soul able to generate intense feelings. Première Etude sur Piaf, a project by the Clelia Cicero and Corrado Caruana duo, is a fun and intense concert, with fresh and original arrangements.

GIOZABÀ
Tuesday 15 February, 7 p.m. – Tribute to the Fado.

Added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists, the Fado, or fatum in its original form, has always fascinated sensitive souls. Fatum means destiny: so what is our destiny? This question, which the music genre tries to answer, has led Giozabà to the creation of “Aconteceu”. Among the memories, nostalgia, mellow sounds, and popular lyrics, Giozabà band tells us what has happened in the past, and most importantly what can still happen today.

NAIMA FARAÒ BAND
Tuesday 22 February, 7 p.m. – Tribute to funky.

Naima Faraò is a young Italian singer, the lead voice of an experimental collective of musicians – The Black Beat Movement – focused on new evolutions of black rhythm and urban beats. Naima conveys her interest in a predominantly black sound through her timbre and in the song selection in her repertoire, which ranges from some of the greatest masterpieces of funky to classic soul music tunes.

CROSSWAY TRIO
Tuesday 1 March, 7 p.m. – Tribute to the klezmer tradition.

A homage to music without borders could only end with a great celebration, which turns into a Jewish festival when the Crossway Trio is in town. The trio converts the message of social and cultural inclusion into music, by embodying the art of musical interaction with simplicity and friendliness: an action that by its very nature dodges any categorization attempt.

VIVO SONHANDO - SELENA GALLERI DUO
Tuesday 8 March, 7 p.m. – Tribute to bossa nova, choro, and samba.

Selena Galleri is a singer and guitar player dedicated to researching and perfecting her knowledge of Brazilian music. Born in Milan, she approached music when she was only 6 years old. Fascinated by Brazil’s musical culture and variety, she enriched her repertoire in São Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, and Curitiba. With Jacopo Pellegrini on percussions, Galleri provides a personal interpretation of chôro, samba, and bossa nova.
