Colmar raises awareness on glaciers protection through the “Save the snowmen” event in Piazza Gae Aulenti.
On 21 October, Colmar will launch an awareness-raising campaign concerning the endangered glaciers. It will donate 10% of the proceeds from the Ski Collection to Rete Clima to support reforestation projects in Italy. Moreover, a 10-metre (32’9”) Colmar snowman will “chill” in Piazza Gae Aulenti from 21 to 24 October, and will not frown at a photograph or share on social networks.
• The initiative is carbon-neutral: CO2 emissions produced will be compensated thanks to a partnership with Climate Partner
• It will include a panel talk on glacier protection held by 6 special guests, live on the @colmaroriginals IG channel from 6:30 p.m. on 21 October – save the date!
• Rete Clima is a non-profit established in 2011; it promotes sustainability and decarbonization actions among organizations and across the country, with a special focus on climate change, which it defines as “humanity’s number one enemy”.
